Teaching

  As what I have written on my CAS plan, I have taught my sister how to play the clarinet which is one of the instrument I can play well. I have been playing the clarinet for 6 years and I was junior Orchestra for few years. I decide to teach how to play the clarinet because my sister wanted to learn some instruments.
On the first day I taught her, I realised that teaching is really hard. However at the same time, It is so exciting when a student is getting better every time she try. Since beginning of this term, my sister has improved her skill.
   It was quite easy to make her to remember the skills she learnt. She used to play the clarinet but she hasn't been playing for a long time. I helped my sister to remember and to learn some techniques.
If my sister has a chance to perform in front of her friends, I would be so proud that my student actually can play the clarinet in front of her friends very well.

Service for Elderly

Last year, I started to help elderly people who are stuggling with something such as food by going to the place where I can actually help. During the short break, me and Thibaut went to the place where we can help old people. The place which I have been to is supported by an American church and some of companies to provide some free food such as IKEA. In this time, less people were there so I asked to a guy who goes there everyday 'why less people are comming?'. The reason why less people come is because companies don't support as much as they did.
  I served foor for them as many as possible and as quickly as possible. Usually the food for old people are soup, meat, juice and some pieces of bread. Sometimes they bring some jars to get more food for rest of day.
  I hope more people can get some help as soon as possible. Also these days not enough people to serve food for eldery. Next time I go there, I want to go with more people who want to help them.

Basketball club

    Since beginning of this term, I have started to attend the basketball club on wednesday after school. I used to play basketball really well when I was in Korea. The purpose of the basketball club for me was to develop my basketball skill and to learn how to play basketball with a team players. Usually there are about 18 people including teachers( Mr Grey, Mr Giddens). We play basketball with 3 teams and each team has substitutes and each games we need to get 3 goals to win. Also each team plays 2 times bacause there are only 3 teams to play.
    I also attend bedminton club on tuesday after school. Since beginning of the september last year, I started to attend the club for CAS. However I enjoied a lot so now, I attend both bedminton and basketball club after school even I feel so tired. According to my experiences, to attend an after school club such as bascketball, bedminton and football helps us to learn many things such as how to make a success with others by working collaboratively.

Winter Activites day

Today in our school, we had a winter activities day. All the IB students were well prepared for their activities. Me, Sanghoon and Gregory were preparing an Ice Hockey in the gym. We were there as Referees. We had yr7,8,9 and 10 students. Students had a lot of fun during the game. During the break I heard about last year's winter activities day which many people didn't show up on winter activities day.
Each games, we said that "thank you for coming" because we felt really good when a group of people come in. We had fantastic time during the day. the time which we didn't have an activity I was looking around the school because I wanted to know what they are doing. I saw that all students were smiling and looked so happy.

  I think the purpose of this activities is to make students to enjoy the last week of the winter.
